Process Engineer (80%-100%)
We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Chemistry & Process Engineering team. We develop, manufacture, and run production equipment for the cosmetic, food and pharma industries to provide high quality products for our customers and consumers. Our team is currently working on optimizing our production plant in the Fine Fragrance sector. Our product has already reached worldwide market and it is reshaping this industry.
As a Process Engineer in our production plant at Werbon (Bern), you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our encapsulation process systems and help us rapidly scale beyond the current capacity to fulfil customer demand. With your innovative spirit and industrial experience, you will bring new ideas and approaches to the chemical process of our production equipment. Your professional experience with clean process plants makes you a key player in improving and upgrading our continuous running process whilst maintaining the highest quality product output.

Your role includes
Be part of a multidisciplinary team that designs, develops, assembles, tests and commissions novel process equipment for microencapsulation processes
Lead or support process validation activities, including protocol development, execution, and documentation, in accordance with regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including both internal and external experts to achieve project objectives
Perform testing, validation and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues and challenges
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes
What you will bring
Strong technical background with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering or related field or higher. Apprentice background also welcome
2+ years background in process engineering (apprentice highly encouraged), preferably in the food, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Strong technical expertise in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting, with knowledge of relevant engineering principles and methodologies
Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software (e.g. MATLAB, or similar tools)
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to manufacturing processes (e.g., FDA, ISO)
Project Management experience
Team player and excited to work in a rapidly growing process technology company
You are intrinsically motivated to design technical solutions for challenging chemical process problems and have a track record of doing so
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
Fluent English; German is an asset
