Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager Germany, you will be part of the Finance organization supporting the financial operations of Microchip Frequency Technology GmbH. As a Financial Accountant / Cost Accountant, you will take responsibility for core accounting, cost accounting, statutory reporting, and compliance activities at the Neckarbischofsheim site. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting under both US GAAP and German GAAP (HGB), maintaining robust internal controls, and supporting the company's financial objectives through high-quality financial data and analysis.
You will work closely with local Finance teams in Teltow and Heilbronn, Tax, Controlling, Procurement, and external auditors to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and reporting deadlines. You will contribute to an efficient and reliable finance function while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and financial processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Close & Operational Accounting
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities under US GAAP and HGB.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform cost allocations and intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain cost accounting processes and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Support the preparation and review of financial reports and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting of business transactions.
- Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and support VAT reporting and related tax compliance activities.
- Manage German statistical reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Internal Control Systems (ICS/IKS) for HGB purposes.
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Manage the fixed asset register.
- Process asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards related to fixed assets.
- Travel & Expense and Local Finance Support
- Ensure compliant handling of travel and expense processes.
- Support company car administration, documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Act as a local finance contact for accounting-related topics and inquiries.
- Audit & Reporting
- Support internal and external audits, including statutory HGB audits.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for audit requirements.
- Contribute to financial reporting packages and management reporting needs.
- Ensure audit readiness and timely provision of requested information.
