Overview
In this role you lead procurement and contract management for data center build projects in the Cologne region, aligning with Microsoft’s CO+I build program across EMEA. You will shape sourcing strategies, drive complex negotiations, and oversee contract administration to ensure cost, schedule, quality, and risk targets are met. You collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, and project teams to enable timely delivery and continuous performance improvement. This is a high-impact opportunity to scale a multi-billion, multi-year construction portfolio within a global cloud platform.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead end-to-end procurement and contract management for large-scale construction projects, ensuring cost, schedule, quality, and risk targets
- Develop and execute sourcing and commercial strategies for construction services, equipment, and professional services contracts over 100M
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors, partnering with cross-functional teams for favorable commercial and risk outcomes
- Manage contract administration (notices, change orders, claims, disputes, amendments, compliance) as primary SME for project teams
- Oversee supplier performance through the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, legal, finance, and project management to identify risks and ensure timely delivery
- Champion process improvement and digital transformation through data analytics, automation, and procurement tech to improve outcomes
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Supply Chain or related field with proven experience in Commercial/Contractual Construction role OR Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Supply Chain or related field with proven experience in Commercial/Contractual Construction role
