As a Working Student in Machine Learning , you will take on a lot of responsibility right from the start and
work in our Software Engineering team on the pre-development of battery management systems (BMS) and support the establishment of a development platform for a battery management system.
Your abilities:
- You are currently studying data science, computer science, mechatronics or a comparable course of study.
- You have good knowledge in working with common AI tools like Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch or Matlab/Simulink.
- You are fluent in English and have a good knowledge of German; knowledge of Chinese is an advantage.
- You are independent and communicative, and you enjoy working in a dynamic international team.
Your tasks include:
- Development of machine learning methods for State of Health (SOH) and aging parameter estimation (e.g., internal resistance, capacity) for lithium-ion batteries.
- Feasibility studies for anomaly detection of internal short circuit (e.g., lithium plating) to prevent thermal runaway by predictive maintenance measures.
- Setting up pipelines to preprocess data from different sources (data logger, vehicle telematics, or virtual battery model).
- Support in setting up the development platform for a battery management system (BMS).
- Support in setting up a continuous integration (CI) environment for software testing in the Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) domain.

You can also perform the listed tasks as part of the final thesis of your studies and learn from experienced software and system engineers in the process!
