For an upcoming newbuild shipbuilding project in northern Germany, we are looking for skilled engineers to contribute to the development and integration of outfitting systems. Using AVEVA E3D, you will work on 3D design, technical coordination, and the integration of various ship systems within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. This 12-month contract offers the opportunity to contribute to a newbuild project, apply your technical expertise, and collaborate with professionals across different engineering disciplines.
Tasks
- Designing and developing outfitting systems for a newbuild shipbuilding project using AVEVA E3D
- Creating and maintaining 3D models, technical drawings, and design documentation
- Design and integration of HVAC systems, elevators, walkways, foundations and machinery systems, including coordination of interfaces with piping design and other technical disciplines
- Reviewing designs, identifying clashes, and resolving spatial and technical conflicts
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design quality and timely project delivery
Job requirements
- A degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline; relevant vocational training combined with professional experience may also be considered
- Professional experience in outfitting design within the shipbuilding or maritime industry
- Practical experience with AVEVA E3D is a plus
- Good understanding of 3D design processes, technical drawings, and shipbuilding engineering principles
- Experience coordinating technical interfaces and working across different engineering disciplines
- A structured, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to design and problem-solving
- Strong English language skills are required and German language skills are an advantage
- Willingness to work on-site, particularly during the onboarding phase
