Job Description
In our R&D department you will drive innovation in cellular immunotherapy in a team focused on the development of reagents and assays for the analysis of CAR-T cells and for immune monitoring of treated patients.

• Your main tasks will include the analysis of cell samples (cultured cells, blood) by flow cytometry well as the development of new assays and bioconjugate reagents for the detection of CAR-T cells.
• Further, you cultivate and cryopreserve required cell material.
• You plan, conduct and evaluate your experiments independently and carefully document the development results. You regularly present your results in group-internal meetings as well as in interdisciplinary seminars.
• You participate in the planning of projects and assist in project implementation and project reporting. Close cooperation with other groups within R&D and with reagent production is part of your everyday work.
• You will work in a highly collaborative environment together with colleagues from different disciplines who share a common vision to develop the next generation of innovative cancer therapies.

Qualifications

• You are passionate about the natural sciences and have completed your M.Sc. in biology, biotechnology or biochemistry (or a related field), gaining excellent grades.
• You have good knowledge in the fields of immunology and cell biology. Additional expertise in protein biochemistry would be advantageous.
• You have gained practical experience in flow cytometry and cell culture. Preferably, you already have experience in antibody development and bioconjugation techniques. Hands-on experience in Quality-by-Design (QbD) experiments would be an asset.
• Your curiosity drives you and you are passionate about finding answers to complex biological questions. In addition, you are self-motivated and have excellent problem-solving skills and a good general technical understanding.
• You are well organised and have excellent communication skills, as well as a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A good command of written and spoken English completes your profile and facilitates communication with your international colleagues. German would be advantageous.
