【Key Responsibilities】
1. Local Implementation of HQ Merchandise Strategy
- Act as the bridge between HQ merchandise strategy and the European frontline market, ensuring precise execution of the global brand image in local retail stores.
- Collaborate with the operations team to develop local market merchandise display plans, inventory level management, and promotional cadence based on HQ merchandise planning.
- Manage the full merchandise lifecycle for European directly-operated stores, from new product introduction, slow-moving inventory management, to end-of-life and clearance processes.
2. Localized Needs Identification & Merchandise Optimization
- Gain deep insights into European consumers’ aesthetic preferences, lifestyles, and emerging trends; regularly provide feedback to HQ product/R&D/procurement teams on localization needs (e.g., size specifications, packaging compliance, functional improvements).
- Analyze local competitors and retail trends; propose data-driven merchandise assortment adjustments to improve store productivity and sales per square meter.
3. Local Sourcing & Supply Chain Development in Europe
- Identify and maintain relationships with high-quality local suppliers in Europe; lead direct procurement, negotiation, and pricing for categories with specific local regulatory or market requirements (e.g., seasonal FMCG, locally themed IP collaboration merchandise).
- Monitor local supply chain quality to ensure all locally sourced merchandise complies with EU safety standards (CE certification, REACH regulations) and internal company control processes.
4. Market Intelligence & Performance Driver
- Conduct regular competitive market research, produce business insights and analytical reports to support regional sales target achievement from a merchandise perspective.
- Analyze store sales feedback; use data-driven merchandise selection to rapidly optimize SKU mix at store level, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
【Qualifications】
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above; preference for majors in Retail Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Professional Experience:
- 3–5+ years of experience in merchandise management/procurement in the retail industry; experience with global retail chains (fast fashion, lifestyle/general merchandise, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Familiar with retail merchandise operations and workflows; strong data sensitivity and proficiency with retail analytics tools.
- Strong procurement negotiation skills; sound knowledge of European supply chain operations and import/export trade regulations.
- Exceptional business acumen, able to break down HQ-level strategies into actionable tactics for local stores.
- Language & Communication:
- Languages: Fluent in English; local European language proficiency is highly preferred. Must be able to function as a communication hub for cross-border teams.
- Cross-cultural competence: Strong cross-cultural adaptability; ability to balance HQ directives with local market realities, demonstrating both flexibility and principle.
