About the role
In this interesting and challenging role, you will be responsible and accountable for the leadership of the facility, people and operations of our Engineered Solutions division in Vreden (CNC machining of our Engineering Plastics).
You will coordinate with the other relevant departments and functions, in order to achieve an optimal service level with good financial results and ensure sustainable profitable growth.
What you will do
- You prepare, present, and execute the operational budget (costs, FTE, investments, P&L) to achieve financial and business targets.
- You plan and coordinate operations to meet customer requirements for flexibility, capacity, quality, and delivery performance.
- You optimize internal European subcontracting and external suppliers to ensure capacity, service levels, resource availability, and cost efficiency.
- You lead and improve the ES Vreden organization, supporting your direct reports (operators, team leaders, planners, process engineers, technical engineer and administration) through communication, coaching, development plans, and performance management.
- You ensure compliance with QESH requirements, including quality systems, ISO, safety, CE, environmental regulations, ergonomics, and workplace standards.
- You drive strategic initiatives, investments (CNC machines, automation,…), process improvements (e.g. use of AI), and projects focused on productivity, cost, quality, technology, and profitable growth.
- You coordinate closely with sales, production, planning, quality, and other site/European managers, while monitoring new technologies and improving processes to maintain competitiveness.
- You meet with other local managers to discuss site related matters (Vreden Leadership Team) to ensure a good functioning of the total site.
- You represent MCAM ES Vreden in the local Works Council and Safety Council to ensure a good safety culture, social climate, and cooperation with the employees.
- You participate in the European ES managers meetings to discuss and/or propose strategy, organization, investments, projects, to ensure optimal performance of the total European ES.

What you bring
- Master in Mechanics/Technical Engineering or a similar field;
- You have substantial experience as people manager in a production area;
- You bring a technical background: concerning (CNC) machining, machines and material properties. You are able to read complex technical workpiece drawings;
- Proficiency in both the German and the English language is essential;
- Knowledge about Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence.
