We're looking for a Backend Engineer to build the robust backend that powers our AI creativity platform. You'll develop scalable APIs, real-time systems, and infrastructure that handle millions of requests, ship reliable features daily, and architect systems that make complex AI workflows seamless for our users. As a founding team member, you'll have massive impact on how our platform scales with demand.
Requirements
- Min. 6 years of strong backend engineering experience with proven ability to build scalable systems
- Expert in Elixir/Phoenix with deep understanding of OTP, GenServers, and fault-tolerant design
- Go experience is a plus
- Experience with real-time systems, WebSocket connections, and high-concurrency applications
- Product-driven engineer who focuses on user impact over technical complexity
- Strong database design skills with PostgreSQL and performance optimization
- Technology pragmatist who values proven solutions over trendy frameworks
- Balances speed and quality - writes maintainable code that ships fast
- Self-directed problem solver who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
