Overview
In this role you will partner with internal teams, customers, and engineering groups to develop, maintain, and support software systems integrated with industrial equipment. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and support software-controlled manufacturing equipment at customer sites, bridging programming with hardware, PLC, networking, and customer-facing work. You will commission systems during installation, diagnose issues to minimize downtime, and train users while ensuring compliance with standards. This role offers hands-on field work, travel, and the opportunity to shape industrial automation solutions.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Commission and configure software systems during equipment installation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software and system issues to minimize downtime
- Train customers and internal teams on operation and maintenance
- Ensure software and equipment comply with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage communication protocols (SECS/GEM, OPC) and support fieldbus systems (Modbus, EtherCAT, Profibus)
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor in Computer Science or Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in software development, system integration, industrial automation, or related field
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and industrial machinery
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software, OS, and application issues
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and control systems
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and maintenance protocols
- Strong problem-solving, communication, customer service, time management, and adaptability
- Strong English communication skills; German/Russian a plus
