These are some of the areas in which we estimate your responsibilities, of course you will take full ownership of your own role.

Commercial law

1. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and partnerships with prospects, customers & other partners
2. Owning and maintaining our commercial templates and terms
3. Reviewing and negotiating supplier agreements

Corporate law

1. Owning the incorporation and maintenance of legal (international) entities
2. Advising and guiding in M&A affairs from a legal perspective

AI Act / AI Governance

1. Advising clients towards compliance of AI systems (high risk in the light of the AI Act or GDPR if the processing of personal data is involved)
2. Giving training in the light of ML6’s CAICO courses
3. Advising clients on their AI governance framework

IP, data & privacy

1. Taking ownership of risk- and compliance-related matters
2. Reviewing our trademarking policy and IP taxation
3. Building understanding of our technology setting and its legal implications

Legal advice

1. Keeping the business informed and aligned of relevant legal evolutions
2. Assisting in corporate transactions, agreements and fundings
3. Implementing and maintaining corporate governance across all subsidiaries
4. Providing occasional advice in terms of labour law, as we are growing fast and internationally
5. Thought leadership on AI regulations and the EU AI act at conferences and with customers

Why you?

1. Master’s degree in law. Any additional Master or training in the field of ICT, IP, corporate law or commerce is a plus
2. 4+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal counsel role. Experience with/in tech companies is a plus
3. Familiar/experienced with the European legal system with an international mindset
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch (German is a plus)
5. Works well independently but enjoys liaising with various parties
6. Analytical and business mindset with great problem-solving skills
7. Flexible, curious and willing to embrace change for the better
8. Naturally a broad field of interests and you like to be involved in various industries and domains
