Job Purpose
The Senior Advisor – Consolidation will play a critical role in providing consolidation services to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards, specifically IFRS, and the policies of the client organization. This role focuses on accurate financial consolidation, training team members, and enhancing financial reporting and controls to meet stakeholder requirements.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Participate in the monthly consolidation process for the client’s product groups.
- Train and mentor team members to deliver high-quality, timely results.
- Develop and conduct training programs for internal teams to improve proficiency and understanding of processes.
- Analyze consolidated financial statements to ensure they meet the requirements of all stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management.
- Provide guidance on Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and offer accounting advice to the controllership and finance services teams for improved performance.
- Ensure compliance with the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) and support internal and external auditors during SOX and substantive audits to maintain a compliant environment.
- Continuously improve processes through innovative thinking, leveraging data analytics, and digital solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with various teams across the global organization to meet common goals.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, along with CPA or equivalent certification.
- At least 8 years of experience in consolidation within a large, multinational, multi-currency organization.
- Proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken, to collaborate daily with international colleagues.
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of IFRS standards.
- Experience preparing consolidated statements of cash flows is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting for financial assets and liabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Competence in working with globally distributed teams across time zones.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, including variance analysis.
- SAP experience is beneficial.
