The Capital Planning Analyst / Capital Planning Specialist supports the assessment and allocation of capital to meet business objectives and maintain financial resilience. The role involves forecasting capital requirements, evaluating investment proposals and funding capacity, and assessing how business plans affect capital availability and financial performance.
The successful candidate will collaborate with finance, treasury, strategy, risk, and business teams to develop capital plans, prioritize investment needs, and monitor utilization against approved targets. This position also conducts scenario analysis, prepares management reports, and
recommends adjustments as business conditions and funding requirements change.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in capital planning, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, treasury, or investment analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess capital requirements and evaluate allocation options.
- Understanding of financial statements, capital structure, funding sources, and investment appraisal.
- Ability to develop financial models, forecast capital needs, and conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Experience evaluating investment proposals using measures such as net present value, internal rate of return, and payback period.
- Ability to monitor capital expenditure, funding commitments, and performance against approved plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, financial planning software, or business intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of capital adequacy and regulatory capital concepts is an advantage for financial services positions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate analysis, documented assumptions, and confidentiality.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate planning inputs across teams and meet deadlines.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
