At Mollie, we’re on a mission to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. We started 20 years ago when we launched a more direct, affordable way for companies to get paid. That provided an alternative to the frustrating, overpriced solutions that banks offered at the time. Today, we serve more than 250,000 businesses across Europe with an all-in-one solution that simplifies payments and money management. And we’re a 850-strong team of product, finance, support, commerce, and engineering specialists working across Europe – from Lisbon to London.
At Mollie, we engage with a diverse set of partners, which includes shop systems, technology companies, marketplaces, and e-commerce agencies. These agencies play a key role in technology selection for their clients. Mollie’s payments technology is a favourite among the agencies in Europe and we’re looking for someone to further strengthen Mollie’s position amongst the top agencies in the DACH, and ensure that a growing source of new Mollie customers emerges from it.
As a Partnership Manager, you will play a critical role in building Mollie’s DACH business by using your experience in advising digital agencies and their e-commerce merchants to utilise Mollie\’s financial services to successfully grow their businesses. Through agency relationships, a consultative approach, and your understanding of the digital e-commerce landscape, you will act as a strategic partner to your assigned agencies and have an impact on growing Mollie’s DACH footprint. As an individual contributor, you\’ll be supported by our Field Marketeers, Sales, and Support specialists and will benefit from working alongside the smartest payments specialists within Europe.
What you’ll be doing:
- Identifying and establishing partnerships with agencies using various methods, including outbound sales, personal network, social selling, and participating in events.
- Nurturing a portfolio of agency partnerships throughout their whole lifecycle; from pitching and demonstrating the value of Mollie, to building high-value relationships over multiple touch-points with various stakeholders.
- Applying your Partner Sales skills to unlock the maximum potential of the partnership, helping agencies grow and generate high-quality leads through a variety of activities – for example:
- Using strong relationship management and best practices (e.g. launch plans, QBRs, etc.)
- Ideating, launching, and optimising co-marketing activities (e.g. webinars, white-papers, panel participation, etc.)
- Leveraging the wider Mollie organisation (including stakeholders from Product and Solution Engineers) to provide specialist support & expertise.
What you will bring:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a sales focused partnerships role in the technology industry (preferably in the areas of e-commerce or payments).
- A strong interest in e-commerce or payments, with an enthusiasm for developing meaningful partnerships, creating commercial opportunities, and being well-connected within the industry.
- Independent, entrepreneurial, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets (closing, managing, and enabling new and existing partners to refer merchants successfully).
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, including public speaking.
- A collaborative team player with experience working with different commercial teams to drive channel growth and success.
- A high sense of personal responsibility and the initiative to establish and promote partnerships while representing Mollie as a brand in the DACH market.
- A willingness to travel, including visiting partners and also to Mollie’s HQ in Amsterdam, as well as the willingness to participate in trade fairs and events.
- Fluent in German with excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable interacting in English (required). Please do not apply if you are not fluent in German.
