Momentum Global is partnering with an established, PE-backed B2B SaaS business undergoing a significant product and technology transformation. This long established German business with over 3000 customers, over 100,000 daily users, and 350 plus employees is recruiting a Chief Architect. You will oversee a product that is a single integrated platform, not a bolted together portfolio, which is used across many industries across Germany including health and social care, logistics, insurance, public sector and municipal services.
The Chief Architect will take ownership of the target architecture of the platform, helping to simplify and modernise the product while shaping how AI and agentic capabilities are embedded at scale.
This is a highly influential role for someone who enjoys turning complexity into clear, pragmatic architecture.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Defining and evolving the target architecture
- Shaping the architecture behind AI/LLM and agent-based capabilities, including guardrails, observability, security and scalability
- Guiding the modernisation of mature systems towards more modular, cloud-native architecture
- Establishing practical architectural standards, reusable patterns and governance
- Working closely with senior Engineering and Product leaders while influencing engineering teams across the company
- Helping build and shape a growing Architecture function
What we're looking for:
- Architecture leadership experience within B2B SaaS or enterprise software
- Experience designing or integrating AI, LLM or agentic systems
- Experience overseeing large-scale software/platform modernisation
- Experience with Cloud (Azure preferred), APIs, microservices, distributed systems and modern application architecture
- Strong influencers who can create architectural direction while still allowing engineering teams to operate autonomously
- Business-fluent German is essential for this role.
