Managing Director of Mondi Jülich , you will lead one of our highly specialised manufacturing sites, recognised for its expertise in release liner technologies and advanced coating solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to combine operational leadership with technical innovation.

With full P&L responsibility, you will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations while leading the next phase of the site's evolution through the successful industrialisation of innovative products and technologies.

Several strategic innovation projects are entering the industrialisation phase, making this a highly visible leadership role where operational excellence, engineering expertise and people leadership must come together to deliver sustainable long‑term growth.

• Your Mission
• Lead Operational Excellence
• Take full responsibility for the site's P&L, ensuring sustainable financial and operational performance.
• Provide visible leadership across all manufacturing operations, maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality, productivity and customer service.
• Continue strengthening operational stability while driving continuous improvement across all functions.
• Ensure the site remains competitive through disciplined execution and operational excellence.
• Drive Innovation & Industrialisation
• Lead the successful industrialisation of innovative products and technologies developed within Mondi's innovation pipeline.
• Successfully integrate new manufacturing capabilities into an established production environment while maintaining operational performance.
• Build strong collaboration between Operations, R&D, Engineering and Commercial teams to accelerate the transition from innovation to production.
• Balance innovation with operational reliability, ensuring new developments become sustainable business opportunities.
• Deliver Strategic Growth
• Support the delivery of strategic investment and growth initiatives that strengthen the long‑term competitiveness of the Jülich site.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing capabilities, operational efficiency and customer value.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear operational execution.
• Build a High‑Performing Organisation
• Lead, inspire and develop an experienced leadership team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Develop organisational capability and strengthen succession planning across the site.
• Lead change with authenticity, creating an environment where innovation and operational discipline reinforce one another.
• Build Strong Partnerships
• Act as the primary representative of the Jülich site within Mondi's Flexible Packaging organisation.
• Build trusted relationships across Group Functions, Segment Leadership, R&D and Commercial teams.
• Ensure alignment between local priorities and Mondi's wider business strategy.

Your Profile

We're looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who combines strong operational expertise with the ability to lead innovation within technically sophisticated production environments.

You bring

• Proven success in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility within manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Significant experience leading technically complex production sites, ideally within specialty materials, chemicals, coatings, paper, packaging, converting or related process industries.
• Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale operational transformation, investment programmes or industrialisation projects.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing excellence, engineering, quality, supply chain and continuous improvement.
• The ability to integrate innovation into existing manufacturing operations while maintaining operational stability.
• An authentic leadership style with a track record of developing high‑performing teams and building strong organisational cultures.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions and senior leadership teams.
• Excellent strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach to execution.
• Fluency in both German and English.
