Mondrian Alpha is partnered with a highly regarded international organisation seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join its growing Technology team in Zurich.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and service-oriented support professional to join a collaborative, globally distributed environment. The successful individual will play a key role in supporting a diverse international user base, working with modern technologies while gaining exposure to a broad range of infrastructure, endpoint management, and workplace technology initiatives.
As the primary IT support contact for the Zurich office, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support across a range of business-critical applications and technologies. You will work closely with colleagues across Europe, North America, and Asia, supporting a dynamic global workforce while contributing to broader technology projects and operational improvements. This role would suit someone who enjoys hands‑on troubleshooting and is looking to further develop their technical capabilities within a forward‑thinking technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality desktop and end‑user support to employees within the Zurich office and wider global business
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application‑related issues
Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
Provide support for specialist third‑party business applications and data platforms
Manage workstation deployments, hardware builds, user onboarding, and equipment lifecycle management
Support endpoint management technologies including Microsoft Intune and SCCM
Troubleshoot networking, connectivity, and remote access issues
Assist with desktop engineering initiatives, software rollouts, and technology improvement projects
Maintain strong relationships with end users, delivering a responsive and professional support experience
Contribute to technical documentation, process improvement, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives
Promote cybersecurity best practices and assist with endpoint security management
Requirements
7+ years' commercial Desktop Support, IT Support, or End User Support experience
Experience supporting users within a fast‑paced professional environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 technologies
Advanced PowerShell scripting capability
Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM
Experience supporting complex desktop applications and business‑critical software
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and troubleshooting methodologies
Experience performing hardware deployment, workstation builds, and physical support activities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support users at all levels of seniority
Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and endpoint security best practices
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and prioritise effectively
