We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager. This role is based in Germany with responsibility for our Germany store portfolio.
The Role:
Reporting to the Retail Business Manager for Europe, you will be responsible for managing our store portfolio in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for driving store performance to achieve or exceed annual sales and profit contribution targets through active presence in our stores. You will develop store teams to deliver exceptional customer service, visual and operational standards, providing Store Managers with clear leadership and motivation to achieve store KPIs.
In this role, you will contribute to the implementation of the International retail strategy, driving continuous improvement and identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive maximum profit through area P&Ls, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Drive maximum business performance through the store managers and teams delivery of exceptional customer service.
- Ensure each store maximizes its commercial potential using Company visual guidelines and commercial reports.
- Ensure area store costs are managed within budget.
- Manage area payroll budget in line with performance.
- Drive loss prevention, taking action to ensure stock loss is minimized.
- Ensure compliance in all areas and protect the Company from financial risk e.g., stock loss and health and safety.
- Recruit, develop and retain the best individuals and create an active area succession plan.
- Address underperformance taking appropriate action.
The Individual:
You will have:
- Experience of working in a retail area manager role.
- Evidence of successfully developing and motivating a store team to deliver the Company targets/KPIs.
- Demonstrates a focus on people development and growth.
- A proven record of delivering exceptional customer service both personally and through a team.
- Demonstrates the ability to successfully manage/resolve employee issues.
- An ability to review reports and data to identify actions to create improvement.
- Demonstrates drive, resilience, and a can-do attitude.
- Communicates openly and effectively in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates good planning and organisational skills.
