Product Owner, Managed Kubernetes

pWe are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner / Managed Kubernetes Platform Owner to join a leading telecommunications company in Zurich. This is a high-impact contract opportunity with strong prospects for permanent employment. /ppIn this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of our client's Managed Kubernetes Platform, driving its vision, roadmap, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with engineering teams, product management, internal stakeholders, and enterprise customers to ensure a highly reliable, secure, and automated platform while aligning business objectives with technical excellence. /ppYou will play a key role in shaping the platform strategy, managing the product backlog, coordinating releases and change activities. Your technical expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and GitOps principles will enable you to act as a trusted partner for both business and engineering stakeholders. /ppLanguages: German (C1) and English (B2) /ph3Your Responsibilities /h3ulliOwn the Managed Kubernetes Platform throughout its entire lifecycle, from vision and roadmap definition to operations, optimization, and continuous improvement. /liliDefine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog in close collaboration with the DevOps and Platform Engineering teams. /liliWork closely with internal stakeholders, B2B customers, Product Management, and other Product Owners to align business objectives with platform capabilities. /liliEnsure high levels of service quality, reliability, security, and automation across the Kubernetes platform. /liliDrive the adoption of cloud-native and GitOps best practices to support scalable and efficient platform operations. /liliCollaborate with engineering teams on architecture decisions, platform enhancements, and technical strategy. /liliCoordinate releases, change management activities, and customer communications to ensure smooth service delivery. /liliMonitor platform performance, availability, and operational health, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. /liliSupport and guide the implementation of CNCF ecosystem tools such as ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, Cilium, Velero, and Kyverno. /liliFoster collaboration across technical and business teams to deliver valuable, scalable, and customer-focused platform services. /liliBalance strategic product ownership with hands-on technical discussions to ensure successful platform evolution. /liliDrive automation initiatives and operational excellence across the Managed Kubernetes Platform. /li /ulh3Your Profile /h3ulliDegree in Computer Science (University, University of Applied Sciences, Higher Technical Education, or equivalent certification) or comparable further education, combined with several years of professional experience. /liliStrong professional experience in Golang development. /liliHands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as Echo, Kubebuilder, SQLC, and Temporal. /liliExperience building modern frontend applications using React and Material UI. /liliSolid expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. /liliExperience working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka. /liliGood understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and OpenID Connect (OIDC). /liliFamiliarity with microservices architectures and cloud-native application design. /liliStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset. /liliExperience working in Agile development environments. /liliExperience in service provider, telecommunications (Telco), or managed services environments is considered a strong advantage. /liliFluent English and German language skills at B1 level or higher. /liliWillingness to participate in on-call duty rotations. /liliResidence in Switzerland or eligibility to work in Switzerland. /li /ulh3Additional Information /h3ulliFlexible working arrangements with hybrid work options and the possibility to work from home. /liliStrong potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. /liliJoin a highly skilled engineering organization, working alongside 11 Kubernetes Engineers and 7 OpenShift Engineers. /liliContribute to strategic platform initiatives as well as complex enterprise-scale customer projects. /liliGain hands-on experience with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies across the Kubernetes and OpenShift ecosystem. /liliModern office environment in Zurich with a flexible hybrid working model following the onboarding period. /liliCollaborative, innovation-driven culture focused on continuous learning, automation, and operational excellence. /li /ulh3Contract Details /h3ulliContract Duration: 1 September 2026 – 31 December 2027 /liliWorkload: 80-100% /liliEmployment Type: Temporary contract with the option for permanent internalization /liliLocation: Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid) /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
