Technical Documentation & Engineering Support Specialist (m/w/d)
The Technical Documentation & Engineering Support Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and distributing technical manuals, work instructions, labels, and related engineering documentation.
This role ensures that engineering documentation is accurate, complete, and consistent, and is ready for both customers and internal teams.
The Technical Documentation & Engineering Support Specialist also serves as a critical liaison between departments throughout the custom development process.
Responsibilities include reviewing incoming orders to identify errors or inconsistencies before they reach engineering, ensuring alignment between sales, engineering, and customer expectations, coordinating with procurement and production to support accurate scheduling and smooth workflow, organizing and participating in custom project meetings, and assisting sales in advance of orders by preparing layout drawings and providing other technical documentation as needed.
Success in this role requires strong organizational and technical writing skills, proficiency with Auto CAD and Adobe Frame Maker, and the ability to effectively collaborate across departments and functions.
- YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, update, and manage machine manuals using Adobe Frame Maker
- Prepare and distribute customer manuals
- Create and maintain work instructions, labels, and technical documentation
- Work with sales and customers to develop layout drawings
- Collaborate with product management and sales in defining custom items
- Organize and track custom items execution and follow-through
- Organize and support Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes
- Organize and support CARE responses (customer and internal quality reporting)
- Perform other duties as assigned
