As the FIA New Energy Safety and Rescue Manager reporting to the Head of Operational Safety, this is a key role where your expertise strengthens operational safety by developing and implementing rescue solutions and overseeing regulations for vehicles powered by emerging technologies. Based in Geneva within a dynamic and international environment, you will work closely with the Technical and Sporting Departments, Medical Affairs, ASNs, event organizers, and manufacturers, combining technical safety expertise with operational rescue knowledge to maintain the highest standards of preparedness, response capability, and risk mitigation across all levels of motorsport MISSIONS ET RESPONSABILITES : New Technologies Safety Act as the safety reference point for operational risks associated with high-voltage systems and hydrogen-powered vehicle technologies. Oversee the development and implementation of FIA regulations, guidelines, and operational procedures related to new technologies. Coordinate with FIA Technical and Sporting Departments, FIA Safety Engineering Group, ASNs, Organizers, promoters, and manufacturers regarding safety requirements and safety regulation implementation. Manage the network of FIA Electrical and Hydrogen Safety Delegates. Oversee the development of training programmes for rescue teams, officials, and event personnel. Contribute to technical risk assessments and validation of emergency response concepts for new vehicle technologies. Support ASNs with the implementation of new energies safety regulations for national competitions. Operational Rescue Leadership Work in close collaboration with the FIA Medical Affairs Managers. Support the development and implementation of FIA rescue procedures, including technical extrication, and operational safety standards across FIA championships. Monitor rescue preparedness and emergency response capabilities at FIA events. Contribute to post-incident investigations, lessons learned exercises, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop operational guidance, rescue manuals, and emergency response procedures. Develop and implement tools and ad-hoc communications to enable sharing and cascading of FIA tools and best practices to ASN level. Regulatory and Strategic Activities Support FIA Commissions and Working Groups on new energies safety and rescue matters. Oversee the development of FIA safety regulations, guidelines, recommendations, and best practices related to new energies and rescue matters. Monitor technological developments and emerging risks relevant to motorsport safety. Define and monitor the budget related to rescue and new energies activities. PROFIL : Degree in Engineering, or a recognized Engineering Technician qualification with significant relevant experience. Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health experience in motorsport rescue operations is highly desirable. Highly recommended qualification training in hydrogen safety and emergency response (e.g., DGUV Information 209-093 or equivalent recognized programme). Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (such as ISO 6469, ECE R100, ECE R134, GTR13, or equivalent). Ability to assess hazards, understand motorsport operational structures, and support safe emergency interventions involving alternative propulsion technologies. Fluency in English is required (professional level and highly fluent); good working knowledge of French is a strong asset. Willingness to travel as required by the role's international scope.
