Job Purpose and primary objectives
The individual will lead the design and delivery of enterprise finance solutions within SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in Finance and Controlling, strong architectural leadership, and prior experience working with Life Sciences, Healthcare, Energy, Resources & Utilities (ERU) customers in regulated and asset-intensive environment.
Key responsibilities
Finance Solution Architecture
Own and define end-to-end SAP FICO architecture for S/4HANA implementations, conversions, and global rollouts
• Design scalable and compliant finance solutions covering
- Financial Accounting (FI)
- Controlling (CO)
- Universal Journal
- Asset Accounting
- Group & Legal Reporting
- Ensure adherence to SAP Best Practices, clean core principles, and extensibility guidelines
- S/4HANA Transformation Leadership
- Lead ECC to S/4HANA finance transformation initiatives (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Landscape Transformation)
• Drive adoption of S/4HANA innovations such as
- Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
- New Asset Accounting
- Document Splitting
- Fiori-based Finance processes
- Guide finance simplification, data harmonization, and process standardization
- Industry-Specific Expertise
• Apply domain knowledge for
- Life Sciences & Healthcare: regulatory compliance, parallel accounting, margin analysis
- Energy, Resources & Utilities: asset-intensive accounting, joint ventures, cost allocations, regulatory reporting
- Ensure solutions support audit readiness, validation requirements, and industry compliance standards
- Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Act as Finance Domain Architect and trusted advisor to business and IT leadership
- Review and approve functional designs, configurations, and custom developments
- Collaborate with COE teams, business controllers, auditors, and system integrators
Support cutover, testing strategy, and production stabilization.
Integration & Reporting
• Lead integration with
- MM, SD, PM, PS, EWM, TM
- SAP Group Reporting, Central Finance, Treasury, and external systems
- Enable embedded analytics, financial KPIs, and statutory reporting
Must Have Skills/Knowledge
Worked as Finance Architect or lead in implementation projects in customer facing role and managing project team of 15+ associates.
