The ideal candidate is eager to learn, rethink the current state-of-the-art and push the technology envelope forward within the sensor product design phase. His responsibilities range from specifying design targets, through block partitioning, transistor level design and layout supervision to the validation and debugging of the fabricated silicon.Essential Functions:Circuit design of mixed-signal building blocks, including analog design of key blocksAnalysis and optimization of performanceDesign verification IC layout follow upDesign for test, yield, reliabilitySpecify and implement functional safety featuresCooperate with the digital team to define system architectureCooperate with team overseas to develop a test flow for productionWrite documentation for design and architecturesParticipate in the evaluation of silicon in the labQualifications:10+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit design, IC developmentPrevious experience in signal processing and sensors strongly desiredA good understanding of high-speed layout considerations (e.g. parasitic, crosstalk, supply and bias distribution)Solid analytical thinkingProficient with CAD tool environment and mixed-signal simulationFluent communication in EnglishGood communication skills, contribute as a team player in development and design of sensor productsAbility to work independently while coordinating with analog, digital, layout and test engineersProject Management experienceWilling to travel occasionallySelf-motivatedEducation:MSEE or higherLocation: Switzerland (Schaffhausen)Monolithic Power Systems, Inc.
