Terminal Investment Manager Reporting to the Terminal Investment Director, the Terminal Investment Manager is responsible for the detailed execution and monitoring of business plans for assigned terminals. He/She ensures that the terminals operate in compliance with TIL standards and provides detailed financial and operational analyses to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills, with regular travel to terminals within the portfolio.
This full-time position is based in our Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and the successful candidate is expected to travel frequently to visit the terminals that fall within his/her portfolio.
Main Responsibilities
Implement terminal business plans in line with strategic objectives.
Monitor daily operational and financial performance of assigned terminals.
Prepare analyses, performance reports, and recommendations for Deputy and Director.
Collaborate with terminal management and joint venture partners to resolve operational or financial issues.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
Contribute to process improvements and enhancements in reporting and performance tracking.
Travel to terminals as required to oversee operations, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Skill
Financial degree or previous experience in a financial role.
3-5 years of experience in a senior management role in the container terminal industry.
Previous experience in a management position of a container terminal is desired.
Very good knowledge of the stakeholders of the container terminal industry.
Solid understanding of container terminal operations and the maritime/shipping industry.
Knowledge of financial and operational performance metrics for terminals.
Experience with business planning and investment evaluation.
Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Detail-oriented, results-driven, and organized.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally.
