Overview
In this role you will support the financial backbone of voyages by ensuring accurate, transparent trade results. You will work within the Finance domain to consolidate voyage-related financial data and participate in cross-functional analysis. You’ll refine voyage calculation parameters, validate revenue and cost allocations, and prepare management-facing reports to support decision making. You will also collaborate with IT to enhance tools and drive improvements, contributing to MSC’s commitment to precision and cross-team impact. This position offers a path to broaden your finance experience across related areas in a global shipping group.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Improve reliability of financial information to clarify trade results
- Review/update parameters for voyage calculations per vessel on a trade line using MSC Voyage Calculation Software
- Control revenues and cost allocations to compute voyage financial results
- Prepare bi-monthly reports for Senior Management and liner department to aid decision making
- Analyze variances with analytical reporting tools
- Participate in transversal analysis under Deputy CFO supervision
- Coordinate and reconcile results and data within the team
- Assist in enhancing tool collaboration with IT (BI, and application)
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Qualifications in Finance or Business Management
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Finance or commercial background
- Advanced Excel level / Power BI
- Strong analytical skills
