As Data Engineering Expert, you will drive the transformation of our data landscape toward a modern cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform. You collaborate with a motivated data team to deliver scalable data processes and enable advanced analytics, ML, and AI-driven data products. You will shape the central data foundation for a growing insurance business and help implement robust CI/CD practices for data workloads. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for data workloads (pipelines, transformations, notebooks, data applications) on a modern cloud data platform
- Establish and enforce best practices for version control, automated testing, code quality checks, and deployments in data engineering
- Support migration of the existing Data Warehouse to a cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform with automated build/test/release processes
- Consolidate and integrate various data models into a unified data platform for advanced analytics and AI use cases
- Build, test, and operate data extraction and transformation processes to meet business needs and enable ML/AI-driven data products
- Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to ensure reliable, reproducible, and scalable data delivery
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Completed technical studies or comparable training
- Solid understanding of data products, DWH, and cloud data platforms; experience with pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, orchestration, and lakehouse architectures
- Several years of cloud-based data engineering or data warehouse experience; strong hands-on CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and deployment automation
- SQL experience with relational or other databases; MS SQL Server preferred
- Scripting language experience (e.g., Python, R)
- Apache Spark experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of insurance/finance industry is a plus
- Very good teamwork and communication skills
- German and English language skills (written and spoken)
