YOUR MISSION
As a Senior Design Engineer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the design and RF readout of our quantum sensors.
With the support of your colleagues, you will use simulations and results from cryogenic measurements to adapt devices to the needs of our customers. You will also work closely with the broader team to align sensor specifications for deployment in applications such as QKD, quantum computing, and quantum sensing.
Your responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and optimise RF electronics for cryogenic and quantum-hardware applications
- Develop sensor and PCB layouts, from concept through to manufacturable design
- Be involved throughout the full development cycle - from design and setup to measurement and evaluation
- Work closely with interdisciplinary team members to meet customer requirements
- Translate measurement results and application requirements into design improvements
- Contribute to the continuous development of our sensor and readout architecture
YOUR PROFILE
You are a motivated and experienced physicist or engineer with a passion for quantum technology and advanced hardware development.
Your technical expertise, combined with a proactive and hands-on mindset, enables you to develop innovative solutions and bring them into real-world applications.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is desirable
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong background in RF electronics design and electrical engineering
- Experience with cryogenic measurements and low-temperature test setups
- Experience with PCB and/or sensor layout
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience is essential
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely in an interdisciplinary team
