Job ID: Posted: Location: Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, GermanyCategory: Claims & UnderwritingCompany: Munich ReRole and tasksShape product development and innovation for the Property & Casualty portfolio, including market and competitor benchmarking and connecting best practices across ERGO entities.Act as central contact for local ERGO entities and internal stakeholders; ensure effective communication and coordination between local companies, Global P&C, ERGO International, Controlling, IRM and the wider Munich Re network.Continuously monitor underwriting performance, profitability and P&L by combining product, underwriting, pricing and actuarial analyses with relevant financial KPIs.Design and implement measures to improve product profitability in close cooperation with Pricing, Reinsurance, Claims, Actuarial, Data/Analytics, Finance, Controlling and Internal Audit.Prepare, conduct and follow up on senior management meetings and contribute content to the annual planning process (e.g. loss cost/frequency trends, portfolio mix).Lead strategic projects in the Property & Casualty area to further develop the portfolio, processes and management tools.Ensure an effective product, underwriting and pricing governance framework, including implementation of underwriting guidelines, training, audits and due diligence processes, as well as definition and follow-up of improvement actions.Profile and skillsUniversity degree and/or equivalent qualification in economics, finance, mathematics or insurance, plus professional experience in the insurance industry or in management consulting with a strong focus on insurance.Sound knowledge of portfolio management and confident use of tools for product and profitability analysis, rate adjustments and interpretation of financial KPIs in Property & Casualty business.Strong aptitude for data-driven decision making; experienced in performing targeted analysis of large data sets and in presenting and visualising results in a clear and meaningful way.Proven experience in project and interface management and in working with decision-makers from different functional and responsibility areas.Strategic, analytical and execution-oriented mindset, strong abstraction skills and clear, audience-appropriate communication.Genuine interest in international topics and projects, combined with willingness to travel on a moderate basis.Offer and conditionsDon’t meet every requirement in this job posting 100%?
