Overview
In this role you underwrite nuclear construction and operational risks globally and contribute to a growing, specialized portfolio. You will cultivate client and broker relationships and support portfolio development through solid risk assessment and pricing. You will conduct site surveys and risk engineering reports, and engage with stakeholders on technology exclusions and coverage terms. You join a Center of Competence dedicated to nuclear technologies, with exposure to cutting-edge developments like SMR and fusion.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Underwrite nuclear construction and operational risks within designated authority on a global basis
- Develop and expand client/broker relationships to grow profitable business
- Perform risk assessment including pricing, wording analysis, and accumulation management for EAR/operational risks
- Negotiate coverage terms and seek internal approvals for signing
- Conduct surveys on construction and nuclear sites and produce risk engineering reports
- Consult internal stakeholders on technology/exclusions (e.g., radioactive exposures)
- Stay updated on tech, market, and legal developments related to nuclear risks
- Assist in portfolio analysis and reporting/statistics
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree in engineering, physics or applied science-related discipline
- Professional experience as underwriter in direct and/or facultative insurance or practical equivalent
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to grow a profitable book of business
- Ability to build sustainable client/broker relationships and strong sales orientation
- Interest in nuclear technology and willingness to learn about SMR and fusion
- Knowledge of risk assessment, project insurance, and pricing methods; wordings/contracts analysis
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills

- Fluent business English; Spanish and/or German advantageous
