Das voraussichtliche Gehalt liegt zwischen 60000 - 84000 € pro Jahr.

Comprises the underwriting of our Global Clients casualty treaty reinsurance portfolio in line with our Casualty line of business and client strategies. The position is within our Casualty Treaty Underwriting Unit based in Munich.

Your Job

  • Underwriting of treaties including all contract wordings and conditions
  • Risk analysis including legal risk analysis
  • Quality assurance of pricing, monitoring and profitability analyses (adherence to Munich Re Underwriting Guidelines and authorities) as well as the technical Line of Business results
  • Consolidating and further developing professional expertise within the team
  • Taking part in negotiations with clients and brokers (in consultation with Client Management)
  • Cooperating with Client Management on difficult product topics and other industry-specific issues in Casualty Lines
  • Participating in external and internal Underwriting reviews and peer comparisons
  • Securing opinion leadership in Casualty by taking over an active part in knowledge sharing (e.g. expert groups, client seminars, workshops, conferences)
  • Ensuring cross-line interaction and collaboration beyond our divisional unit

Your Profile

  • University degree (preferably in legal studies) or insurance qualifications with several years' professional experience
  • Insurance or reinsurance knowledge, ideally in (US-) Casualty (re)insurance
  • Experience in Casualty Underwriting acquired in (Corporate-) Underwriting (treaty or facultative) or Claims
  • Team player with strong social skills and the willingness to work collaboratively and effectively in an international group
  • Analytical skills and profound understanding of numbers
  • Assertiveness in difficult negotiating situations, excellent ability to identify clients' needs and develop workable solutions
  • Enthusiasm with the ability to drive business projects and assume responsibility
  • Open minded with a willingness to learn and curiosity for new topics
  • Strong written & verbal communication in English
