Overview
In this role you will support NewRe’s Motor & Liability underwriting in the DACH and CEE markets. You will shape and manage a profitable portfolio aligned with our risk appetite, while building senior-level client and broker relationships. You will analyze risks, coordinate across underwriting units, and contribute to planning and knowledge sharing. This position offers collaboration, flexibility, and impact on our regional underwriting strategy.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Propose strategies and target clients and programmes for area of responsibility
- Manage and grow a profitable underwriting portfolio aligned with risk appetite and strategic objectives
- Establish and autonomously manage client and broker relationships at senior level as key account manager
- Analyse risks and exposures for underwriting, pricing and accumulation control
- Ensure market coordination with the different underwriting units
- Cooperate with key internal stakeholders outside of Casualty
- Contribute to reporting and annual planning processes
- Contribute to developing and maintaining underwriting expertise
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree or equivalent education within the insurance or reinsurance industry
- 5+ years of experience as (re)insurance underwriter in casualty
- Sound grasp of Motor (re)insurance and/or several Liability classes (General/Public/Professional Liability)
- Experience and knowledge of the DACH and/or Central & Eastern Europe is advantageous
- Excellent in communication; negotiating skills
- Can-do mindset with high business acumen; able to deliver on client expectations
- Strong team player with openness to new ideas
- Excellent command of English and German (other European languages a plus)
