Grow with us as an IT Business Analyst (m/f/d) at our Nuremberg location and translate business needs into effective IT solutions and ensure the successful delivery, enhancement, and support of business applications. This position acts as a key interface between business and IT, coordinating projects, developers, and stakeholders across local and global teams.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Develop a thorough understanding of Murata Europe’s business and operational requirements, with the goal of developing effective software solutions to meet those requirements.
- Coordinate a team of software developers and engineers to analyze, plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications built on Murata’s adopted technologies and following agreed standards and guidelines.
- Plan and implement projects. Take charge of the coordination, implementation and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.
- Support and maintain existing software functionalities; investigate, analyze and correct identified defects within established SLAs.
- Participate and implement the global project in some cases with headquarters and other affiliate IT staff.
Required Knowledge/Experience
- Degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent professional experience in IT, business, engineering, or a related field
- Relevant experience in IT projects, business analysis, application or project management
- Ability to translate business needs into clear functional or system requirements
- Strong collaboration across business, IT, and development teams
- Experience implementing, enhancing, or supporting business applications
- Good understanding of the application lifecycle, from requirements through implementation and support
- Basic database and SQL knowledge, or willingness to develop these skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to produce clear requirements, specifications, and project or user documentation
- Experience coordinating cross-functional activities, priorities, dependencies, and deadlines
- Fluent English and confidence working in an international environment
Considered an Advantage
- Knowledge of IT systems supporting supply chain, logistics, sales, procurement, manufacturing, or other enterprise processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise applications
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Power BI
- Experience coordinating developers, vendors, or other technical resources
- Understanding of application design, including user interfaces, batch processing, system interfaces, and data flows
