Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Verification Technician to support the delivery of a major semiconductor fabrication facility construction project in Dresden.
Reporting to the Construction Verification Lead, the successful candidate will be focused on the office-based processing of laser scan data, QA/QC of point clouds, scan-to-model verification checks, and the generation of clear, client-facing verification reports.
This role is suited to a technically strong reality capture, BIM, or survey professional who can process scan data accurately, compare installed works against BIM design models, identify deviations, and prepare structured outputs that support construction quality, issue resolution, and daily project reporting.
What You Will Do
• Process raw terrestrial laser scan data captured by project field teams.
• Register and QA/QC point cloud data, ensuring accurate alignment to the project survey control and design grid.
• Identify scan registration issues, incomplete capture, control discrepancies, or data-quality concerns and escalate them to the Verification Lead.
• Prepare clean, structured point cloud datasets for scan-to-model verification workflows.
• Execute design intent versus as-built verification using BIM design models and laser scan data.
• Run model-to-point cloud comparisons using platforms such as ClearEdge Verity, Leica 3DR, CloudCompare, or equivalent tools.
• Generate deviation analysis, tolerance checks, compliance outputs, and installation accuracy reports.
• Validate installed architectural, structural, MEP, process, utility, cleanroom, and industrial construction components against approved models.
• Prepare clear verification reports, screenshots, issue summaries, and supporting data for review by the Verification Lead.
• Maintain verification trackers and structured datasets to support Power BI dashboards, daily operations meetings, and client reporting.
What You Will Bring
• Experience processing terrestrial laser scanning data and working with point cloud registration workflows.
• Experience supporting reality capture, verification, BIM, survey, or digital construction deliverables on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience working with BIM models and construction documentation to support design versus as-built comparison.
• Experience on semiconductor, data centre, pharmaceutical, mission-critical, cleanroom, or large industrial projects would be highly advantageous.
Key Attributes
• Strong knowledge of point cloud processing, registration QA/QC, and scan data management.
• Understanding of survey control, coordinate systems, design grids, tolerances, and measurement uncertainty.
• Experience with scan-to-model verification, tolerance-based comparison, deviation analysis, and automated reporting.
• Ability to interrogate BIM models using tools such as Revit and Navisworks.
• Good construction awareness, particularly around MEP, structural, architectural, process, and industrial installations.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, and consistent verification reports for review and issue.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to prepare structured data for Power BI reporting.
