The NDR Radiophilharmonie is looking for a solo bassoonist for a permanent position. The application period is open until October 5, 2026. Candidates must prepare specific pieces for the audition, including Mozart's Bassoon Concerto and selections from various orchestral works.Auditions will take place on November 9, 2026, for a preliminary round and November 16, 2026, for the main audition. Travel costs for the preliminary audition will not be reimbursed, while travel expenses for the main audition will be covered according to the guidelines of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, with a maximum reimbursement of 130 euros.Candidates will be provided with a pianist for accompaniment, but they may also bring their own. The repertoire includes works by composers such as Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Stravinsky, among others.
