An innovative engineering consultancy specialising in safety-critical systems is looking for a
Safety & Reliability Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Friedrichshafen.
This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across industries such as aviation, rail, defence and automotive , supporting the development of safe, reliable embedded systems throughout the complete product lifecycle.
- Your Responsibilities
- Perform safety and reliability analyses including
- FMEA, FMEDA, FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Develop and manage safety requirements throughout the development lifecycle
- Conduct system safety assessments in accordance with standards such as
- ARP4754/4761, ISO 26262 and EN 50126/50129
- Define safety objectives and derive quantitative safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate closely with systems, software, electronics and data engineering teams
- Support technical communication with internal and external stakeholders
- What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum
- 3 years' experience in Safety or Reliability Engineering
- Practical experience performing
- FMEA, FMEDA, FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis
- Knowledge of safety standards such as
- ARP4754/4761, ISO 26262 or comparable frameworks
- Experience working with embedded systems or ECUs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- German language skills at
- C1 level
- English at
- B2 level or higher
- Willingness to work primarily on-site in Friedrichshafen
- Nice to Have
- Experience with Reliability Workbench, Medini Analyse or similar safety tools
- Background in aerospace, rail, defence or automotive engineering
- Experience communicating with technical customers
