We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer in the Business Change & Engineering team. In this role you will develop new insurance product propositions across European Commercial Insurance markets. The team drives business transformation through standardization, simplification, and automation of business processes. As a Product Engineer you will work closely with Underwriting, Pricing, IT, and the wider program team to translate strategy into scalable solutions. Product Development and Enhancement
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain new insurance products using tools such as Xmind. Gather and assess feedback from customers and stakeholders (Underwriting, Sales, Claims) to identify product requirements and improvement opportunities. Facilitate change management during new product introductions, focusing on intelligent design and simplification. Prioritize, plan, and execute initiatives with the product and pricing team, evaluating usability and ensuring readiness for business implementation. Develop structured product models tailored to the Lower Middle Market customer segment. Configure products using Xmind and Advanced Product Designer, with Guidewire as the supporting technology suite. Conduct comprehensive analyses of competitors’ products and pricing strategies to inform market positioning. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and product lines, particularly for the seven identified markets. What Makes You a Great Fit?
Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of product development experience, or High School Diploma with strong experience in product development. 3–5 years of experience in product development within the insurance industry. Strong knowledge of property, casualty, and specialty insurance underwriting. Familiarity with underwriting guidelines, practices, and governance. Comprehensive understanding of sales and distribution channels. Working knowledge of insurance software packages, especially Guidewire, Xmind, Advanced Product Designer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven project management, time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Experience in change management. Benefits
