Your mission

We are a leading software company in the social care sector, committed to developing innovative solutions to improve care services. Our goal is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of social services through cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence. You will develop innovative solutions in areas including data and AI operating models, data culture, and data architecture. As a data engineer within our product development organization, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our data and AI strategy.

You’ll be responsible for developing and integrating advanced data and AI solutions tailored to and exceeding our customers’ needs.

Your tasks

  • Contribute to designing and maintaining a company-wide data platform
  • Research new technologies to help the team achieve its mission in data management, analytics, and machine learning
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data flow across more than 100 sources and 12 different products
  • Conduct quick analyses of data quality issues, propose improvements, and perform data modeling tasks to create high-quality reports and analytics
  • Work with internal data scientists and software engineers to develop and integrate new functionalities into large datasets
  • Communicate progress, results, and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Your profile

  • A degree in Computer Science, Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with proven experience leading data architecture and pipeline projects in an enterprise environment
  • Strong understanding of current trends in data science and data engineering
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and their data-related services
  • Fluent in programming languages like Python, R, SQL, or JavaScript and ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow
  • Knowledge of data architecture concepts and tools, including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, and data catalogs
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues, optimize system performance, and understand data governance and relevant tools
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork
  • Experience with ML and AI frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is a plus
  • Experience in the social care sector is beneficial but not required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English (minimum B2 level)
