Job Description: Project Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project management, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage engineering projects from initiation to closure, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
2. Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and budget constraints.
3. Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones. Track progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project success.
4. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure safety standards are met.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, procurement, and manufacturing, to facilitate project execution and resolve technical issues.
6. Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the project team and across the organization.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members as needed.
10. Maintain documentation, records, and project files in accordance with company procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in engineering project management.
3. Strong technical background in engineering principles, design, and analysis.
4. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, JIRA).
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
8. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to engineering projects.
9. PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
