About the opportunity
N26’s Sourcing team seeks a supply chain professional in sourcing/procurement to support the request life cycle for non-IT procurement-related initiatives.
You\’ll work on the Indirects Sourcing Team. This team helps with all Sourcing projects in Marketing, Corporate and Professional Services, Banking Services, Real Estate, and Workplace Services.
The daily tasks include managing sourcing projects and contract negotiations, ensuring processes and contracts are followed. Lead sourcing projects with internal stakeholders, build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners while achieving the best value for N26, and assist with daily sourcing processes as needed.
In this role, you will
- Assist in the development of global strategic sourcing opportunities through competitive bidding, proof-of-concept, demand management, supplier consolidation, and process reengineering.
- Support the Category Manager(s) in ensuring that important internal stakeholders understand the value of working with Sourcing. This includes supporting best-in-class strategic sourcing principles and practices.
- Support a robust pipeline of sourcing projects in parallel with broader strategic projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across N26, as a true business partner, to achieve the following:
- Lead sourcing events and RFXs, where appropriate.
- Negotiate and establish supplier agreements/contracts that meet the business needs of all stakeholders, as well as regulatory requirements, while building long-term relationships with suppliers; working closely with category leaders, risk, and legal teams.
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models.
- Support the category strategy creation for the assigned category.
- Lead and/or support the baselining of your category information (contracts, supplier portfolio, spend, and category context) to build a documentation base that will set up your future work for success.
- Develop the best possible supply base for N26.
- Contribute to the review of the Sourcing policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the healthy and fun culture within the Sourcing Team.
- Learn to be an expert in our Sourcing team tools and processes.
What you need to be successful:
- 5+ years of Procurement/Sourcing experience, ideally from a consulting firm, technology organization, or financial services firm.
- Strong background in running end-to-end sourcing projects, including contract negotiations; specific knowledge managing regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Solid knowledge across indirect categories.
- The ability to think and act strategically with clearly defined business objectives in mind and a can-do mindset with a strong hands-on approach.
- Agile, open, and takes a dynamic approach to work.
- Clear understanding and experience in working according to best-in-class procurement processes.
- A commercial mindset and good negotiation skills.
- Relevant experience in drafting and redlining contracts.
- Data is your friend! Sufficient data analysis and financial modeling skills to build multiple negotiation scenarios, total cost of ownership models, consumption models, and demand forecasts, etc.
- Good skills in project and time management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English. Fluency in German is considered a strong plus.
- Experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and relationship building.
- Familiarity with P2P/sourcing systems.
