Overview
As Forward Deployed Engineer at n8n, you will transform large enterprise deployments into production-grade automation that customers can own. You’ll collaborate with Deployment Strategists, Product and Engineering to design scalable workflows, extend integrations, and convert customer contexts into reusable patterns. You’ll conduct on-site engagements, generate actionable outcomes, and feed learnings back into product playbooks. This role combines hands-on engineering with customer-facing impact to shape the future of automation at scale.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Drive high-impact enterprise deployments and deliver production workflows
- Embed on-site with enterprise customers during 5-day engagements, bringing hypotheses and delivering tangible outcomes
- Collaborate with Deployment Strategists to align execution with customer priorities and adoption goals
- Design and build production-grade automation solutions, including workflows, integrations, and custom nodes
- Extend existing nodes or add functionality to unlock high-value use cases across environments
- Translate ambiguous business problems into concrete automation designs that emphasize customer value
- Work across industries and tech stacks to rapidly become productive in new environments
- Identify opportunities to convert bespoke customer needs into reusable product features and contribute to internal playbooks

- Strong engineering background with production experience in full-stack or backend roles
- Expertise in building integrations, APIs, or automation pipelines; comfortable with APIs, authentication patterns, data models, and event-driven systems

- Customer-facing confidence with engineers, operators, and non-technical stakeholders
- Solution design skills to turn operational problems into practical technical designs
