Security Operations Engineer

Overview In this role, you will be a trusted security partner supporting a major client in Zurich within Kudelski Security’s MDR practice. You will operate at the intersection of client teams and the security operations center to detect, investigate, and respond to threats. Your work includes tuning detection content, leading incident response efforts, and driving improvements to security processes. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence the client’s security posture while collaborating with experts across the organization. A strong focus on Palo Alto technologies and proactive security work will define your impact. Verantwortungsbereiche Serve as the primary security operations contact between the client and Kudelski Security Investigate and coordinate response to security incidents and escalations Support ongoing threat monitoring, detection, and response activities Administer, maintain, and optimize Palo Alto security solutions Develop, tune, and improve detection content, correlation rules, and security use cases Perform threat hunting and proactive security investigations Analyze logs, alerts, and security data to identify threats and improve visibility Recommend and implement improvements to security processes, workflows, and controls Provide security guidance and remediation recommendations to client stakeholders Contribute to security projects that strengthen the client’s overall security posture Zentrale Anforderungen 3+ years of experience in Security Operations, SOC, MDR, Incident Response, or Security Engineering Hands-on experience with Palo Alto security technologies in an enterprise environment Experience investigating and responding to cybersecurity incidents Strong understanding of network security, threat detection, and incident response processes Experience with SIEM and EDR platforms Ability to analyze security logs, alerts, and network activity to identify threats Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills Professional proficiency in German and English Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments is a plus customer-facing communication stakeholder management collaboration Palo Alto security technologies SIEM EDR
