  The Role:
  We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support our team in the Sachsen region. Preferably the successful candidate will reside in this area but there are also a hybrid/remote options available.
  (If you are interested in the Hybrid or remote options please note the first 2-3 weeks will be required on site in Gelenau and there is flexibility for Hybrid and remote options after that.)
  Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
• Day-to-Day buying tasks of placing purchase orders with our vendors
• Monitoring vendor delivery schedules and staying on top of any overdue orders.
• Ensuring accuracy on all open Purchase Orders & Intercompany Orders and delivery dates
• Collaborating with Manufacturing and Customer Services to ensure ability to meet customer demands. Re-plan and re-prioritize work in response to changing market requirements, materials availability, breakdowns, changing customer requirements, etc.
• Support our teams in working through issues with colleagues in warehouse, incoming inspection, trade and compliance and finance.
  What we are looking for:
• Previous experience as a purchasing assistant role would be advantageous.
• Understanding of purchasing, planning and inventory control
• Medical device / pharma experience desirable but not essential.
• Fluent German and English speaker
• IT proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office and knowledgeable on Sage ERP system.
• Hybrid work arrangement – initially onsite for training
• Mature judgment, problem solving and decision-making ability
