Overview
In this role you will lead the mechanical aspects of a 27MW hyperscale data centre project near Frankfurt, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget. You will supervise safety, quality, and environmental standards while coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors across Europe. You’ll manage planning, procurement, and financial performance, translating complex design and construction activities into reliable operations post-close. This position offers hands-on leadership in a high-stakes tech infrastructure environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Ensure Quality, Safety and Environmental compliance across projects
- Lead operational delivery of data centre projects in Europe, including site teams and project execution
- Develop and manage procurement strategy, programme, subcontracts, and technical submittals
- Own planning, programming, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and value engineering across projects
- Oversee design review, installation, commissioning, and O&M close-out documentation
- Manage site operations: labour, materials, plant movement, resource planning to protect milestones
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders, maintaining records and progress reporting
- Handle project variations, monthly valuations, commercial reporting, and close-out to budgeted profit
- Lead project, design and progress meetings ensuring alignment with deadlines and milestones
- Carry out additional duties in support of project and business needs
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Mechanical-related HNC, degree or equivalent
- 10+ years' relevant experience
- Self-motivated with initiative and ability to prioritise and multitask
- Strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail
- Effective written and verbal communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills
- Confident building professional relationships across all levels on site and in the office
- Responsible, proactive and positive with a strong "can do" attitude
