Overview
In this role you will lead on-site EHS delivery for a 27MW hyperscale data centre project near Frankfurt. You’ll drive the implementation of EHS management systems, uphold compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture across the workforce. You’ll support project teams, audits, and incident investigations while aligning with client and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with a clear impact on safety performance and project success.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead on-site implementation of EHS management systems
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental legislation, client requirements and internal standards
- Foster a proactive safety culture across the project
- Support PSCS duties where applicable
- Develop and manage project-specific safety plans and EHS documentation
- Lead and attend EHS coordination meetings
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance checks
- Review RAMS, SOPs, project execution plans and risk assessments
- Monitor training compliance (Safe Pass, CSCS, etc.)
- Coordinate safety arrangements across workforce and subcontractors
- Support incident investigations and lessons-learned reviews
- Log, assign and close audit findings on the digital platform
- Prepare EHS reports and support KPI tracking
- Collaborate with project teams, management, subcontractors and client representatives
- Support wellbeing and wider EHS initiatives
- Represent the business professionally during audits and client engagements
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and practical safety solutions
- Ensure EHS training needs are identified and supported
- Maintain consistent standards across projects with the wider EHS function
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 6+ years in a comparable EHS/HSE or Safety Lead role
- Background in the construction industry
- Site-based project delivery experience
- Recognised third-level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety or related discipline
- EHS accreditation such as IOSH or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of construction safety legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Experience conducting site audits, inspections and risk reviews
- Experience reviewing RAMS, method statements, SOPs, project execution plans and risk assessments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Experience with digital EHS platforms (Procore, EIDA, Kianda or similar)
