Responsibilities
- Preparing and contributing to the planning of the supplier audit programme, including prioritising the supplier audits to be carried out.
- Contributing to the risk analysis of suppliers and associated supply chains, with a focus on conducting quality risk assessments.
- Contributing to tender comparisons, supplier selection and approvals.
- Planning and conducting quality audits (system and process audits) to assess and monitor the quality capability of potential and existing suppliers.
- Cross‑project monitoring of First Article Inspections (FAI) and trial orders.
- Coordinating and managing the approval of production processes at suppliers in consultation and collaboration with the PQM responsible for the relevant projects/products.
- On request, involvement in Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) and First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Involvement in comprehensive supplier development in collaboration with the Procurement department, focusing on advising on, designing and specifying improvement measures resulting from supplier audits.
- Analysis and reporting on the status of suppliers’ quality capability.
- Planning and designing the assessment and assurance of quality capability across related supply chains.
- Coordinating and managing tasks to monitor suppliers’ quality capability in the context of localising entire supply chains.
- Optimising and establishing process elements, methods and standards for assessing and documenting quality capability, as well as for enabling suppliers.
- Clarifying, determining and specifying quality requirements for suppliers, including quality assurance agreements, central manufacturing specifications (e. g., paint finishing instructions) in consultation with the line manager.
- Ensuring suppliers are ready for series production – responsible for carrying out a manufacturability assessment, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), series production approval and FAI approval.
- Supporting and carrying out capacity analyses at the supplier's premises.
Requirements
- Completed Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- VDA 6.3‑certified supplier auditor.
- Practical experience or in‑depth knowledge of the manufacture of plant, mechatronic and optical equipment, PCBs, harnesses and wiring, or software development.
- Business fluency in English and German (spoken and written).
- Several years of relevant experience in supplier management, particularly in conducting supplier audits.
- In‑depth knowledge of at least three of the following standards and methods: DIN EN ISO 9001, maturity assessment in accordance with VDA, Automotive SPICE, APQP, PPAP, measurement system analysis, machine capability, lean management, project management.
- Goal‑oriented and independent working style.
- Confident manner and communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong intercultural competence.
- Willingness to travel worldwide.
