Overview
As System Test Manager in our defense-focused practice, you lead a project-based test team and oversee all validation activities. You will shape and execute a holistic test strategy for our software products, balancing manual and automated efforts. You design system and acceptance tests from requirements, ensuring quality across the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with project participants, product lines, and development teams to drive measurable testing improvements. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead a project-based test team in the defense sector and manage validation activities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy for software products; plan and monitor manual and automated tests
- Create system and acceptance tests aligned with functional, technical, and operational requirements
- Ensure high quality throughout all phases of product development
- Introduce and continuously optimize modern testing methods, tools, and meaningful metrics
- Coordinate closely with project participants, product lines, and development departments
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor in Computer Science or a comparable STEM field, or technical vocational training
- Networking expertise: IP addressing, routing, switching; wired and wireless comms (VHF, UHF, LTE, SatCom)
- In-depth testing and verification/validation knowledge (functional, acceptance, performance)
- Proficiency with V-Model XT; knowledge of ISO 29119 preferred
- Experience with ALM and test management tools (Jira X-Ray, IBM Doors) and version control (Git)
- Agile experience (Scrum or Kanban)
- Analytical mindset, strong customer focus, solution-oriented communication in complex settings
