Why now: rising threats to critical infrastructure, too few people in security and industry, cheap and reliable hardware and fast moving AI agents. Hardware is ready. Deployment is not. You make our robots work at the customer. You own what runs on site: bringing up new platforms, mapping the site, tuning, testing and keeping the fleet running.
You also support the rest of the stack (autonomy, perception, platform) wherever a deployment needs it, and feed every lesson back into the product so the next site goes faster. The Autonomy engineer owns the stack. You own what runs at the customer.
- - Bring up quadrupeds, wheeled robots and drones with payloads, sensors and compute
- - Deploy at customer sites: mapping, calibration, tuning and debugging in the field
- - Run edge deployment: Docker, CI, OTA updates, logging and telemetry
- - Tune perception on site: detection, tracking, thermal and night vision
- - Connect robots to existing systems, control rooms, alarm systems and existing cameras
- - Turn every site lesson into repeatable, automated deployment
- - Has deployed robots in production at real customer sites and kept them running
- - Strong ROS2, C++ and Python, and strong debugging on real hardware
- - Hands-on with at least one of: quadrupeds, wheeled robots or drones
- - German (B2 or higher) and fluent English, for contact with customers
- - BSc / MSc or equivalent proven experience, and a heavy user of AI coding agents
Autonomy stack experience, electronics, 3D printing, field application and customer-facing experience.
