Linux/Windows System Administrator with Scripting and Automation Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux/Windows System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining Linux or Windows systems, with expertise in scripting and automation. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure, while continuously improving efficiency through automation.

Responsibilities

• System Management : Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Scripting and Automation : Develop and implement scripts using languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform or Pulumi to automate repetitive tasks such as system updates, backups, and user management.
• User Management : Create and manage user accounts, set permissions, and ensure security protocols are followed across both Linux and Windows environments.
• Security Management : Implement security measures, monitor for potential threats, and respond to security breaches.
• Backup and Recovery : Ensure data integrity through regular backups and have recovery plans in place.
• Collaboration : Work closely with IT teams from our clients to optimize system performance and security.
• Troubleshooting : Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, scripts, and automation processes.

Requirements and Skills

• Experience : Proven experience as a Linux/Windows System Administrator with a focus on scripting and automation.
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in Linux (e.g., Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu) or Windows Server operating systems. Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go). Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform or Pulumi). Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (DNS, DHCP, VPNs). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Certifications : Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, LPIC, or RHCE are advantageous.
• Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
