For our client, we are looking for a Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) with Backend Focus on Python, AWS, Terraform and additonal Knowhow with Frontend e.g. VueJS.
Project Description
Our client in the banking sector is seeking an experienced Engineer (m/w/d) to provide external support for a project based in the Frankfurt am Main area. The role is backend-focused, with responsibility spanning application and API design as well as cloud infrastructure on AWS. The engineer will contribute to building and maintaining reliable cloud-based applications and will also bring initial frontend development experience.
Project Parameters
- Start: asap
- Duration: Expected to run until Q3 2027
- Workload: Full-time
- Location: 95% remote, 5% Frankfurt; predominantly remote, with one on-site visit per month in Frankfurt am Main
- Travel: Availability to travel to Frankfurt am Main once per month is required
- Onboarding:The first 20 person-days are required for onboarding and are paid at a 50% reduced daily rate
- Daily rate: 5-9 years: 90 EUR netto all-in, 10- and more years: 100 EUR netto all-in
- Language: German + English at C1 level; fluent business communication
- Background check: A police clearance certificate is required
- Note: CVs must be submitted in English
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend components for cloud-based applications
- Design application architecture and APIs, choosing suitable approaches for the requirements
- Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure components on AWS using Terraform
- Select appropriate AWS services for given requirements and account for fundamental cloud networking concepts
- Contribute to frontend development as needed
- Apply basic internet security mechanisms and principles, including TLS, CORS, CSRF and XSS considerations
- Where relevant, help design secure, performant and reliable system architectures, plan integrations between components and select suitable technologies
- Where relevant, contribute general knowledge of AI/LLM concepts such as RAG, vector databases and prompt injection
Experience & Knowledge
- At least 5 years of professional experience; 10 years or more is preferred
- Strong python backend development experience, including application architecture and API design
- Proficiency with AWS and Terraform
- Experience in at least one project provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure components
- Ability to select appropriate AWS services for given requirements and a basic understanding of cloud networking
- Initial experience in frontend development (VueJS)
- Basic knowledge of internet security mechanisms, including TLS, CORS, CSRF and XSS
- English at C1 level, with the ability to communicate fluently in business and negotiation contexts, including under pressure
- Ability and willingness to travel to Frankfurt am Main once per month
Preferred
- Approximately 5-10 years or more of professional experience
- Python experience
- Vue.js experience
- Experience designing secure, fast and reliable system architectures, planning component integrations and selecting suitable technologies
- General knowledge of AI/LLM technologies, for example RAG, vector databases and prompt injection
