We are supporting the search for a Civils Works Manager to join their high profile project in Baden- Württemberg, Germany.

This flagship project is an important electrical substation in southern Germany that plays a vital role in cross-border power flows and regional grid stability.
Once complete, the upgraded site is expected to enhance frequency regulation, voltage stability, and power exchange between Germany, France, and Switzerland.
The ideal candidate will have Several years of professional experience in construction management and project management, preferably in civil engineering/groundworks and ensure DGUV Regulation 1 is adhered to on site.
Experience with electrical substations or High Voltage projects is advantageous.
Due to a site rotation system, Saturday work may be required.
Language requirements - German speaking Essential
Responsibilities
- Coordination of plans, preparation of work for the respective construction phases, and supervision of on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with public regulations and the designs/specifications provided by the project designer.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety requirements in accordance with DGUV Regulation 1 and environmental protection requirements.
- Quality control and verification that construction works conform to the design and planning, including documentation and processing of defect notifications.
- Coordination of construction activities across multiple trades/disciplines.
- Scheduling coordination and workflow planning of construction activities.
- Ensuring adherence to construction schedules and deadlines.
- Identifying and reporting deviations and potential change orders/claims.
- Participation in and documentation of site meetings and acceptance inspections.
- Maintaining the site construction diary (daily construction log).
Experience required
- Several years of professional experience in construction management and project management, preferably in civil engineering/groundworks.
- Experience with electrical substations is advantageous.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong assertiveness and resilience in the environment of a complex infrastructure project.
- Knowledge or experience in electrical engineering is a plus. xayajpt
